I can not say enough about this family run business. They are amazing. We called early morning and they were at the shop within 30 minutes and provided a very fair estimate. The work was completed the same day. Everyone we dealt was polite and very nice. From the owners Manny and Lou to the installers Steve and Dave .....what a great group of people. I highly recommend this company. Thank you Manny, Lou, Chris, Steve and Dave ! Your new friends at Upperwood Barbershop !

Excellent staff and service. Dropped off a broken window from a storm door. They took measurements and advised what they were going to do and how much. I picked it up when promised and it was ready at cost that I was told

Family Owned and Operated Since 1914
The Connecticut Plate & Art Glass Company began in 1914, when Sam Cohen, a Russian Immigrant escaping persecution, came to Bridgeport and established a horse & wagon peddling enterprise. He eventually planted roots as a hardware store on Main Street, which eventually evolved into a glass business.
Sam's two sons, Benjamin and Manny Cohen, and daughter, Bea Barnett, joined the business upon completing their education, and carried it on after Sam's retirement. Lew Cohen, Sam's grandson, joined the business as the third generation continuing the legacy of Connecticut Plate & Art Glass Company, Inc.
